Treasure Island

In Term 2, around mid-autumn, I joined the 3d Arts Youth Theatre -the Burwood campus. There were about 15 of us in the Treasure Island Burwood cast (plus 3 teachers). I was casted as Captain Flint, the parrot, and Lucky Micky, one of the townspeople who joins the adventure and turns into a pirate in the end.

We had 3 shows at the end of Term 3 in September -one on Wednesday (7:00 - 9:30pm), one on Friday (7:00 - 9:30pm) and a matinee on Saturday (1:00 - 3:30). The Ringwood cast did Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday night. 

My family watched the Friday one. It went quite well, and there was a lot of improvising, but the lines they thought of were funny. The first crowd was small and not very reactive. The Saturdat crowd was the largest but the Friday one the most reactive -they laughed a lot more than the others.

The show was at Knox Community Arts Centre.
